Evaluations

Other evaluations.

Psychoeducational, targeted, and adult evaluations, each shaped around a specific question about learning, attention, or development.

Psychoeducational evaluations

I offer psychoeducational evaluations to clarify your child's learning profile, identify academic strengths and challenges, and guide effective educational planning.

What it is

A psychoeducational evaluation answers questions about learning, attention, and social-emotional functioning in the school context. It brings cognitive ability, academic achievement, and social-emotional functioning together into one clear picture of how your child learns, and what will help them thrive in the classroom.

Who it's for

Families who want to understand a child's learning profile, make sense of academic struggles, and plan the right supports and placement at school.

Areas assessed

  • Intellectual functioning: overall cognitive abilities, including reasoning and problem-solving
  • Academic achievement: reading, writing, math, and other school-related skills
  • Social & emotional functioning: social skills, emotional regulation, and relationships

What to expect

An opening conversation

We begin with a meeting to gather your child's developmental history, educational progress, previous supports, and current concerns. It's also your chance to ask questions about the evaluation.

Rating forms & questionnaires

You, your child's teachers, and others who know your child well complete rating forms, offering perspectives on functioning across settings.

Testing sessions

Most evaluations are completed in one to two sessions, paced to keep your child comfortable and engaged.

Integration & scoring

I review records, school information, and results together, interpreting them as a whole rather than in isolation.

Parent feedback meeting

After testing, I meet with parents or guardians to review findings, including diagnoses, explain what they mean, and provide individualized recommendations. This typically runs about 90 minutes.

School feedback meeting (optional)

With your permission, I can share results and recommendations with your child's school to support educational planning.

Written report

You receive a detailed report summarizing all findings, interpretations, and recommendations for use at home, at school, and with other professionals.

Also available

Targeted & adult evaluations.

Two focused options beyond a full psychoeducational battery.

Targeted evaluations

What it is. A focused evaluation designed to answer specific questions when a child has already had prior testing, or when there is a highly specific concern. Rather than a full battery, we zero in on targeted areas such as attention (ADHD), autism, or specific learning differences like dyslexia to clarify diagnostic questions and update accommodations.

Who it's for. Families and treatment providers who need targeted clarity to guide next steps, refine school accommodations, or update a previous evaluation as a child grows.

Adult evaluations

What it is. A comprehensive or targeted evaluation tailored for adults seeking answers to questions that often trace back to childhood. We specialize in evaluating attention challenges (ADHD) and autism spectrum differences in adulthood, helping you understand your cognitive profile and access appropriate accommodations or support.

Who it's for. Adults seeking clarity about their own learning, attention, or neurodivergent profile to better navigate higher education, the workplace, or daily life.
